Once again in 2017 Dubai will play host to a number of Art and Design related fairs, exhibitions and events across the city. Here are some of the key dates for your diary.

Art Dubai

March 15-18, 2017

Don't miss the most globally diverse art fair to discover the latest trends and emerging artists from across the world. The eleventh edition of Art Dubai will feature works by over 500 artists and 94 international galleries. The fair returns to the Madinat Jumeirah from March 15-18.

The Eleventh Art Dubai takes place in mid-march at the Madinat Jumeirah and at various locations across the City. Art Dubai is one of the regions biggest international Art Fairs, showcasing artworks from over 90 galleries form the UAE and around the world.

I have been along to take in some of the works on show for a number of years now and I can assure you the fair never fails to disappoint, with such an large number of galleries exhibiting, there is certainly something for everyone.

This year's program highlights includes:

The Global Art Forum, titled 'Trading Places' - which will explore the relationship between the economy of goods and ideas that constantly shape who and where we are.

The Modern Symposium a series of talks and presentations by renowned curators, scholars and patrons which will focus on the life, work and cultural impact of 20th century masters from the Middle East, South Asia and Africa.

Design Days Dubai

14th – 17 March 2017

This years Design Days Dubai has found a new home at Dubai Design District (D3). Heading it to it's 6th year this predominately interior design focused fair looks set to be even bigger and better with a programme of workshops, talks, mentoring sessions, installations and a record number of exhibitors from around the world. These will include; the return of Coletivo Amor de Madre (Brazil), award-winning multidisciplinary Atelier Marko Brajovic and the The Crafts Council, showcasing eleven contemporary makers from the UK.

Dubai Design Week

13th - 18th November 2017

Dubai came alive with design during the second Dubai Design Week, 24-29 October 2016: A 6-day celebration of ground-breaking ideas and design discovery spanning more than 100 events across the city and at Dubai Design District (d3). Follow Dubai Design Week on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and You Tube for continued updates and interesting content from the Emirates and beyond.

2017 will be the Third Dubai Design Week and just like last year the programme looks set to grow once again, so expect even bigger and better things from this years event.

Downtown Design

14th – 17 November 2017

The rapidly evolving landscape of the Middle East brings a world of opportunity for international design brands to meet the leading buyers of the region. From Santiago Calatrava to the office of Zaha Hadid, we hear why Downtown Design is central to the region's growing design industry.

Once again Downtown Design will take place over three days during Dubai Design Week, at Dubai Design District (d3). The trade fair, the only platform in the Middle East for the region’s design trade professionals, is back for its forth year and will showcase the best in furniture, lighting, kitchen, bathroom, accessories, textile new technology and accessory brand from around the world.

Sole Dxb

On November 18th + 19th, Sole DXB the region's premier footwear, fashion & lifestyle fair celebrated 5 years. Thank you to everyone that participated for bringing your best game yet. It pushed us to up ours.

Sole DXB has certainly become a firm favourite on the Dubai Design calendar over the last few years, home to all all things footware, fashion, design and alternative culture in The Middle East, this event has grown year on year and I don't expect 2017 any different. Little has been announced regarding this year's event but keep and eye on Sole DX B for further news on line-ups and dates.
